What a week ….

But first – cuteness.  This is our Olivia and her daughter Tubitha (Tubby).  Awww … Now, my week.   Apparently, my grandmother decided at 89 years of age that she didn’t want her gallbladder anymore.  She was so insistent about not wanting it, that she started to go into septic shock.  The family phone lines have …

Just because …

This post is just because I can!  And – because I have a few photos to share … I’ve been a busy beading-ninja!  I’m working on bracelets and pins/pendants and wire-wrapping, OH MY!  Here are a couple of bracelets – one done and one a work-in-progress:         And, SHHHHHH – don’t tell anyone, but I’m …

Knitting, candles and wine … Oh my!

Lost heat out in the studio.  Darn too-small propane tank anyway!  I’ve talked to DH about getting a real (house sized) one out there … maybe now is the time.  It’s a balmy 44 degrees in there right now.  Without water (drained the pipes in preparation for Snowmageddon).  Of course!  I have 3 custom orders …

Stepping into the light and embracing the day

We lost power on Saturday.  Repair estimate had us getting electricity on Christmas night at 1130pm.  So, I had started to wrap my head around embracing what I would officially call the ‘Dark Christmas’ … I was excited about the prospect of ZERO cooking (watch out Taco Bell, here we come).  But, unlike many of …

Almost human … AKA ‘I got sick’– i.e. GINGER VIRUS

WWU: I got sick – at work.  For a minute there, I thought maybe DH was trying to take advantage of my food allergies (umm, poison me! – But ya know, my life insurance policy stinks, and I’m not quite THAT paranoid); so maybe it was … – actual food poisoning; – salad  overdose; –  …

Countdown and three kilns …

Click, click, click … go my kilns (happy sigh – ) ALONG with the other 886 COUNTDOWNS  ticking away.  Deep breath! Review (since my last post): 1) We have babies!  Momma Iz finally got serious Friday night, and we have 7 new Neo babies in the house (DH has the photos,  and I’m so far …

Some good, some bad … But – the 3rd time’s the charm!

The GOOD:  I’ve been producing in the studio; I have a few leads for ‘show-casing’ my ART;  I’ve been working on some glass special requests (… I absolutely love those!);  My family (both 2- and 4-legged) are healthy and well; I finally have a solid game plan to fix my ‘lil medical issue; I’ve lost …

Contentment …

Another good day!  After sleeping like the dead for 11 hours, I welcomed the twins to summer.  The family enjoyed our lobster dinner – wrapped it up with chocolate cake topped with frosting crack (- what’s not to love?)!  Played with all my pooches.  Then, off to the studio I went. I like my Star-N-Moon …

Dusting off, while I (slowly) get back on the horse …

Dog-with-a-bone persistent … yep, that’s me.  I cleaned out my coffin-kiln fiasco, and ran to my favorite glass supply store this week to stock up on iridescent glass.  I will make some (amazing) irid platters, DANG IT!  So, here we go … Take 2, scene 1: I also have my T.V. Picasso/zentangle cabs etched … …

A (quietly) productive week …

And ending on a great note:  I’m meeting with ‘The Girls’ again – my childhood friends.  We’ve had some (slightly) impressive changes since we last got together … [Good Lord – we ARE some kind of version of “The Big Chill”] … so, we have lots to share.  I’m so looking forward to seeing them …
