Countdown and three kilns …

Click, click, click … go my kilns (happy sigh – ) ALONG with the other 886 COUNTDOWNS  ticking away.  Deep breath! Review (since my last post): 1) We have babies!  Momma Iz finally got serious Friday night, and we have 7 new Neo babies in the house (DH has the photos,  and I’m so far …

A (quietly) productive week …

And ending on a great note:  I’m meeting with ‘The Girls’ again – my childhood friends.  We’ve had some (slightly) impressive changes since we last got together … [Good Lord – we ARE some kind of version of “The Big Chill”] … so, we have lots to share.  I’m so looking forward to seeing them …

Whipped Cream Frosting …

Where have you been all my life?  An amazing, wonderful, incredible coworker (whom I LOVE!) shared a frosting recipe this weekend (it ALMOST made up for all the craziness we endured on behalf of our patient population … 5AM take down of a male someone half my age … don’t get me started!).  Anyway – I’m sharing …

Long, long ago …

One tough day and then – a week of … holding my breath!  The twins are going to be ‘on vacation’ – across state lines (! … HELP ME!!!) later this week.  I hope they have fun … I hope I can relax enough to think about having some fun myself… I hope I can make …

The never ending subpoena –

is now set for next week (!) … Sooo – I was available to attend the DARN SANE meeting!  By the time I got home, I was completely bummed and disliking people.  Needing a fix – I spent the afternoon playing with puppies, in the sunshine and beautiful fall colors:     And Mighty Zeus was …

Tiptoe through the …

No, not tulips … Puppies!  The gang’s all here.  Zonie started having her babies in the wee hours of Tuesday morning (about 4am) … Now, some 36 hours later (we all got some sleep), we are settling into a great routine of ‘life on the outside’ …   In case you’re having trouble counting … …

Wish me luck …

Time to take a deep breath and hit the week running … In between the demands of daily driver’s ed for the twins, our puppy nursery (9 days old today), our canine ante-partum nursery (Mama Zonie is due this week), photography, shipping glass packages (love that), and working “Mom’s Diner” – I’ve got the DARN …

Back in my studio …

Had a full day out and about, but ending with some happy time in the studio.  Went to the crime lab ‘Meet & Greet’ … imagine a room full of SANE nurses, social workers and a few lawyers against one lone crime lab director.  He did great(!) and I’m hopeful more positive process changes will …

WWU – I work with some Nutty Nurses …

Of course, that means the night is NEVER dull, but … Wow!  Meet Buddy, our ‘team mascot’ for the last shift of my weekend.  Some nurses consider ANYTHING a patient gives them as a precious gift to be treasured … even PARASITIC BUGS!  [An engorged tick for all you folks not up on your entomology] … Ugggghhhh! …
