November 17-24, 2017

Wow, what a week!  We started with Arts & Greens … A special Thank You(!) to all who stopped, shopped and visited with us!!!  We had a great time, despite the torrential pouring of rain that was oozing down the greenhouse wall, creating a river through the middle of our space … [Doh!]   Once the …

Thank You!

Thanks to Bogie Lake Greenhouse, HVCA, our shoppers and my family for a great show this weekend!  We had a wonderful turnout, and true to ‘Arts N Greens’ tradition – some crazy Michigan weather just for the occasion! Our 2016 Clayton Hill Studio display: Now, I will crash hard(!), get my house and studio back …

With Mama in her kerchief, and I in my cap …

Yep, we’re loaded and ready to go.  So, sure – I’ve got two kilns running with ‘last minute’ glass … DH spent the day loading our trailer, checkin’ the tires and telling me to quit ‘making stuff’!  (Umm … Never!!!)  But, look at what we made!  So, later today, while we set up our home-away-from-home …

T-3 … still moving!

And feeling good.  Just waiting for my coffin load to cool to the point of touching … (145 degrees right now).  They didn’t all work out, but … I can work with this. In the meantime, we have a handful of cabochons that I like; And, I love my Olafs:    I’ll slump the bowls …

Harvest Fest, Blood Moon and Puppies …

We were at Harvest Fest in Brighton this Saturday.  A great day – with beautiful weather, lots of folks and too little sleep for me. (Note the frumpy, less-than-welcoming, pained look on the face of ‘the artist’ in the corner … oops!)  Still, a great show for us … and I’ll work on my facial …

Countdown …

Work in the studio continues, with the understanding that I will not come anywhere close to touching the projects I wanted to try/complete.  That’s ok … I’ll still make myself nutty for this up-coming show, but maybe not ‘top-shelf nutty’… (???)  Here’s what I have to show-off today: a quick-but-cute donut necklace; my 11×14 canvas …

Never enough hours – and yet …

I’m relieved all the same.  I make myself nutty with these craft/art shows.  I know I do.  “They” say identifying the problem is half the battle.  It’s not true … I’m still nutty!  (But I knew that going in, so …) We’re working a show (that DH signed us up for) in … well, T-5 …

It’s a good thing I’m not panicking …

DH signed us up to participate in Brighton’s Harvest Fest (market/art and craft show) … umm – this SATURDAY. (8am-3pm 9/27/14)  So, it’s a good thing I’m not stressing out, experiencing any sort of insomnia spike while I systematically search the internet (like some neurotic, jonesing sociopath with only one thing on her mind …) …

Some good, some bad … But – the 3rd time’s the charm!

The GOOD:  I’ve been producing in the studio; I have a few leads for ‘show-casing’ my ART;  I’ve been working on some glass special requests (… I absolutely love those!);  My family (both 2- and 4-legged) are healthy and well; I finally have a solid game plan to fix my ‘lil medical issue; I’ve lost …

I did say crazy – Right?!?

Oh, yeah – you betcha!  But, I almost have the coffin kiln loaded with ornaments and ready to run.  Look at what I made tonight … It’s ‘Ornament Central’ up in here … Why?  I dunno …but I like it!  The days are ticking down to the art show, and I still have so much …
