More Baby Steps …

Cuz that’s how we move forward!  But first … Look at this!  Aunt Piggy and Uncle Clyde ‘lording’ over the Neo babies … Too Cute! And back to baby steps:  We got the new shelving unit up – and full.  I like it.  Sure, I’d like it bigger, BUT … I have my lesser-used (coe96 …

Some re-stocking, stolen studio time … and T-3

Just 3 days before our Ribbon-Cutting ceremony/2nd Grand Opening … So exciting!  There will be champagne, cupcakes, door prizes … and healthy people!  Come on out to Zen Artisan Boutique this Saturday, 4/16/16!  [Meanwhile, a special THANK YOU to ALL who made our first grand-opening weekend so successful!!!]    I am hoping to drop in …

A few nights of studio playtime

Had a custom request conversation that has me playing in the studio.  First to make a large ‘hot cab’ and then to add a decal/screen printing area within … So, while it’s not in the requested colors – the first trial is working.  I wish I could fully capture the cool reaction around the vanilla …

Ginger got her glass on …

Cheesy, I know … But – I’m happy!  I have all three kilns ROCKIN’ (Hummmm … Click … CLACK!!!)!  I’m getting some custom items moving along … [Plus – a few future badge reels I’d like to dedicate to all ‘Nurses who boycott The View/JB/WG’ … SNARL!] Finally got around to photographing some shop listings …

So, it must be that time of year …

That’s my excuse, anyway.  I’m scouring, learning and obsessing over jewelry making again.  (In the non-fused glass, non-chain-maille sort of way …)  This means I have a new wholesale account with yet another company … (Um, no actual purchases yet, just a lot of dreaming.  It’s good to be prepared!)   Yep, I know.  I need …

Wet Room … and THANK YOU!

But first, my scenic cabs.  It takes 5 firings to move these bad boys from start to finish.  And, while I learned some skills and like a few of them, these just aren’t my cup of tea, overall … So, I’m not sure when I’ll revisit the technique.  I will re-fire a few of them, …

Staying warm and slowly producing …

Not much to report on this week in the studio, but I am moving a few pieces along … Custom request dichroic badge reels are a tad trickier to create without running water.  Fortunately, I’m married to a handy guy who keeps lots of buckets around – and I’m surrounded by snow.  So, the outdoors is …

Nora and I went swimming yesterday …

Well, actually – Nora was frantically trying to stay on top of the water and I jumped in to get her … in our pond … knee-deep in muck … IN THE COLD! When she didn’t come running back to the deck with the rest of our Yorkie crew, I started to worry.  I don’t know what …

A good day …

A few good hours in the studio, and I’m one happy girl!  That added to the fact that the stitches are FINALLY out, I’m healing and starting to feel human again! So – my good day:  It actually started a few days ago, when DH and I took some items to local shops, and I ‘peddled my wares’ …

Some good, some bad … But – the 3rd time’s the charm!

The GOOD:  I’ve been producing in the studio; I have a few leads for ‘show-casing’ my ART;  I’ve been working on some glass special requests (… I absolutely love those!);  My family (both 2- and 4-legged) are healthy and well; I finally have a solid game plan to fix my ‘lil medical issue; I’ve lost …
