As I’ve been playing with glass enamels lately – and seeing how they work with oils vs. water mediums – I had the ‘opportunity’ to work with lavender and clove oil. They sound pleasant, don’t they? Or at least harmless and aromatic. Ummm … NOT! That clove oil stunk. It stunk BAD. Like air-out-the-studio-for-2-days-and-I-could-still-smell-it BAD! …

Pushing forward …
Mixed results in the studio today, but overall – I’m happy. My irid platters are cooling in the kiln as I type … but that didn’t stop me from catching a quick peak/picture: HaHa!!! Much better … not perfect, but I like them! And, I have a mini tray fire-polishing in the little kiln. We’ll …
A (quietly) productive week …
And ending on a great note: I’m meeting with ‘The Girls’ again – my childhood friends. We’ve had some (slightly) impressive changes since we last got together … [Good Lord – we ARE some kind of version of “The Big Chill”] … so, we have lots to share. I’m so looking forward to seeing them …
Play Day in the Studio
A long, stressful day … but a good day. Started early this morning as we flew pups off to their new homes. Got home just in time to watch their flights progress across the country … New extended family in NJ, MD, FL and MN. All the babies did well, and I’m happy and sad …
