Having a GREAT time …

Warning – another photo-heavy post.  But, I’m having so much fun!  DH had a birthday, so I made him a ‘pop-up’ card: And, we’ve been cooking.  I have photos of the jerky we made (pork, beef and chicken), along with the homemade dog treats … The pups love them!  Here’s the link to the dog …

Another Update and Welcoming 2022 …

Oh my goodness, 2021 went out with a bang!  There is a big work story that I’m not quite ready to share, but we can cover Christmas, food/recipes, clay studio, other life stories and cute photos.  So – here we go … Prepping for Christmas 2021, DH and I opted for more-than-not homemade gifts.  So, …

She is HOME!!!

After 7 long days, Chloe is home.  Eating, drinking, healing … and cuddling!  And, not thrilled about posing for any photos … That’s my girl!!

Can’t Keep a Good Gal Down …

So  – quite a lot has happened since my last post.  None of which is glass or card making related … Shortly after my post last week, Miss Chloe Cowbella started vomiting … All NIGHT.  She would (on her own) drink water, wait 2-3 hours and vomit it all back up.  Wait a few minutes …

Marching On …

What an A$$-kicking week!  Sent our youngest off for Boot Camp (x4 months).  I can’t tell you how many times the ER nurse/Momma Bear in me was in conflict.  But, he is 20 years old – makes his own decisions … and I couldn’t ‘ground him’ if I wanted to … And then, the evil-biologic …

More Reverse Enamel Trials …

The good news – I have my bubble squeeze program down pat!  Here are my latest spoon rests fired with white luminescent backing.  The bad news – I’m still having issues with color burn out, even while adding more venting … So, I’m trying a different enamel.  Nothing like diving in, so here are more …

Good, Fat & Happy!

A good appointment with our tax man means CHS gets to keep making cool stuff!  [Well, yeah, sure – AFTER a weekend of ER nursing fun!] Our pups are growing by the minute!  Momma Xena is eating like a champ and her fat ‘lil piglets will be opening their eyes soon! So, I’m happy!  Had …

I Caused a Stir …

I didn’t mean to – I was just asking questions on a chat board –  talking out loud, working through the process … But stuff got weird (picture THE most opinionated gathering of ER and  ICU nurses – ‘sharing ideas’ … Oh YEAH – this glass group has got nothing on them!  DOH!)  Half way through …

Patiently learning …

DH made the vit pot for me, so we can use square glass in it, instead of cutting circles for clay pots.  Much easier to prep and load, but the stainless steel pot has it’s own learning curve.  Add to it, I still have a bunch to learn regarding my color choices for a vitrigraph …

Learning patience …

Or trying to, anyway.  We’re waiting for some supplies to come in.  Like a crate of Bullseye glass (they had a sale – what can I say?) and some stainless steel sheeting.  [DH is going to make a vit speed pot for me!]  Then we can really play with the vitrigraph kiln.  So much so, …
