Sweet Days of Summer

Another catch-up post … DH and I are enjoying the summer.  We had the kids out last week to celebrate 3 of the 4 birthdays (the twins are 23, and our oldest daughter will soon be 28 … Dang, someone around here is getting OLD!!!).  It was a fun night, and we’re so proud of …

Good News/Bad News …

and catching up to date. So, the good news – I was off work this weekend.  The bad news – it was supposed to be our oldest daughter’s wedding weekend.  The good news – she has already chosen a new date for 2021. The good news, I’m feeling better.  I saw my doctor and we …

Silent/Healing …

I’m not sure why I would decide to develop abdominal cellulitis now.  I don’t know how one goes about creating abdominal cellulitis … But, I’ve been quiet lately, in part – because that’s what I’ve been doing/GROWING??? Absolute craziness!  Not what I had programmed.  But, there you have it – this body has it’s own …

It’s called FAITH!

…  I needed to remind a couple family members of this recently.  I’m an ER nurse.  [Apparently, I’m also AN ESSENTIAL … (Wow – doesn’t that sound post-apocalyptic!  You and me Daryl – We Got This! )] But honestly – it’s just FAITH …  I struggled with this early in my nursing career.  When we …

A Quick Escape …

From Margueritaville – where NO Corona is served!  [HaHaHa!!! … while pounding chest!] I received my new Tim Holtz alcohol inks today (ordered back in late January/early February).  So, I had to pause for a moment and try a J.McGuire technique.  Maybe, 1):  I shouldn’t be so SURE of myself [Umm, listen and follow all …

Birthdays, Card Making & EPIC

Wrapped up all of my mandatory nurse classes last week, YAY!  Got through the weekend shifts, and heard such bizarre complaints, I can’t even mention them… My goodness, but folks are losing coping skills by the bucket-loads! Moving on … On Tuesday, DH and I made nachos, making the chips (cut tortillas) in the air …

Major Deadlines … MET!

We made it … All handmade gifts were completed and GIVEN.  I pulled together a few cards (five – to be exact): Four to give to our offspring, to house the cash gifts they all wanted;   And one more card for my sister … To go along with the Mexican Fruit Cake for her …

Happy Thanksgiving …

We had a great Thanksgiving day!  DH and I prepped all we could the night before, including our (now) traditional bacon-wrapped herb-butter turkey, green bean casserole, hanky pankies and spanakopitas (although we didn’t bust into those on Thursday).  On Thanksgiving day, I made my mashup of 3 different Whiskey Apple Stuffing recipes and our family …

Baby Steps … Win the Race?

Well no.  But they keep you moving forward.  Our time is so segregated these days – but it’s all good!  So, I’m reporting on a little of this and a little of that! I have managed to do a couple of things in the studio.  Speaking of which – here is a reverse view from …
