The unsung hero … (AKA WWU)

No – it’s not me, if I were the hero – I would be quite vocal about it!  The true hero is the octogenarian (AKA Little Old Man) ON blood thinners  WITH A NOSE BLEED (read: it will never stop):  He’s so stoic and brave, as his frail wife sits quietly in the corner of …

I’m in love …

With my husband (of course).  BUT – if DH were to dissolve our marriage tomorrow, I would throw myself at save myself for … Manu Bennett.  The problem (besides the fact that he doesn’t know me) is that he’s in New Zealand and I’m here … But, I happen to know someone (who knows someone) …

Still recuperating … but eating helps (?)

I work nights.  I do this INTENTIONALLY, as I am –apparently– a vampire.  (I’d say the non-blood kind – but my patients [whose blood I take by-the-vials] would probably disagree …)  I am ALLERGIC to mornings.  So, my week has been messed up since I got a SANE call only minutes (about 120 of them) …

The needles are hot – the studio is warm …

Overall, it’s a pretty cool place to be right now … The weekend is over(!), and while no one in my ‘lil ER had to endure green vomit on St Patty’s day – there were some interesting intoxicants.  I, however, was in the heart ‘wing’ – ruling out one MI after another … I finished …

Big tease, microcephalic … and faith!

As I sit in the office, nursing a cup of coffee – trying to wake up and tap into my smiling, happy, civil side (come on caffeine!) … DH is giving me a run down on the weather predictions for the next 7 days.  Michigan and I have a love/hate relationship this time of year …

Still rollin’ …

WWU:  Busy weekend!  Sick folk, crabby folk, whiney folk … Wow!  Sure glad it’s over … With it’s limited resources, my little stand alone ER has unique challenges when it’s that busy! Flipping back to ‘glass artist’ role – I’m still enjoying my successes (for the moment, anyway) … A couple more fun spoon rests: …

Relaxed, playing–and on a roll …

A great couple of evenings with my kids (both the two and four-legged kind), my kilns and my studio has me rolling into the weekend feeling great!  I have pictures: Romp time with the pooches … DH caught a quick pic, calling me the ‘dog whisperer’.    The last remaining (Neo) pups are moving on …

Wednesdays … WTH?!?

A much better Wednesday than last week (!), but still with some tension and stress (darn teenagers anyway) … For now, I’ve locked myself in the studio, armed with a cup of Café Mocha – to get some de-stressing/me time. Starting with photography:  Here’s a shot of my last coffin run pre-firing: And my pendant …

It must be winter …

(WWU) Got through another weekend … busy Saturday, but nothing critical (lots of cold and flu complaints).  My weird sleep habits had me up and wide awake at 7am this morning …WTH???  Such an unnatural hour for me.  I’ll pay for it later I’m sure … But in the meantime, I’m watching the skies unload …

Ahhh– I like …

Tonight marks the first time I’ve been in the studio for a week.  The upside – we had a great, all-be-it just a tad late Christmas with my dad, my house is CLEAN, and I have the next 3 days for nothing but studio time!  Oh, I like that! Made some mugs for the family: …
