Wowzers …

Couple of crummy cases at work, mixed in with some great patients and holiday-weekend volume left me feeling road-weary Monday morning … Just Wow!!! So, I crashed hard.  Spent a fair amount of energy plotting out my listings for the shop … Maybe I’m making it more complicated but … Wow! Today, I took the time …

Worker Bee … that’s me!

This week, anyway … We did our first murrini slab.  Hmmm … next time I’ll make a round one for a kiln drop (imagine custom pendant-style light shades – for my studio!). And, I’m still making component parts for future tiles/jewelry: I have a few ‘themed’ tiles in the works … rusty brown, ocean marina …

Another vit pull … and stuff

We tried a pink/purple pull this week.  Good results, I think! I’ve been restocking spoon rests – along with some new designs – 8 prepped for the kiln.  Also catching up on night lights [no photo], along with a couple of Easter bunnies … They are adorable and I had fun making them!   I’ve …

A bit of a set back- but moving forward …

So, I had my repeat xray last week.  Apparently, my fracture isn’t healing … Well that sucks!  I’ll see Ortho on Tuesday to figure out the next step … In the meantime – I’ve made a few spoon rests … Played (gently!) with the CowBell … Put together some component parts for a couple of …

Happy …

A good week in the studio as I prepare for our show.  T-3 weeks, but no panicking! I’m playing with powders and stencils, crackle and scrap glass – all while my spoon rests and ‘tea bowls’ are coming together nicely.  I’ve cut for another 12 spoon rests, and I’m working on some mid-sized bowls/plates … …

Having a clean studio ROCKS!!!

I have three kilns running and more projects planned.  What a productive week … I worked on some jewelry, wrapping up a custom cab order.  Here’s a double dichro dragonfly pendant moving along (in the kiln now for a fire-polish) and a couple of penDot rings!   I have the coffin running with future spoon …

Moving right along …

Got through our tax session (Thanks Jim!) and a fun-filled E.R. weekend; Despite meeting one of the most unpleasant airline employees ever (service desk), we now have extended, four-legged family in NH, CO, NJ, PA and FL.  The pups did great! Which brings us to Thursday.  I’m almost over this cruddy virus.  I’m playing in …

As promised – updates …

Studio news – My enamels have arrived.  [Yay!!]  And, I’ve been a little productive – a few photographs taken for upcoming shop listings (like the Hot Air Balloon Spoon Rest!).  I also did some overcooking in the kiln (lots of ‘dog-boning’ on this tapestry dish) … but I like it!; Made a few Psychology symbol …

Busy, busy … Good!

Holiday weekends sure are busy!  But overall good!  I have highlights: We have puppies!  (Of course it meant a long sleepless period … but look at those faces!!!) Momma Izz (Isabella) is doing great, eating and sleeping like a champ and her pups are growing before my eyes.  (And, we will catch up on sleep …

Studio work, and …

Instant access to the internet!  Oh, but I love it … Where else can you catch a movie (Jack Ryan Shadow Recruit.  Thank you, Netflix!), while surfing for new project ideas, more ‘self-taught’ learning, and trivia facts/decorating ideas/etc. …  But first – my kilns are cooking:  Stage 3 of my batch of spoon rests, and …
