Life in our zoo …
I played a bit in the studio tonight … Working on more reverse enameling projects. I have a lion (or llama – you decide) spoon rest, an elephant ring dish, and two stamped plates in-the-works. I hope to combine reverse-enameling with crackle glass on the plates … We’ll see … I also fire-polished my tile …
Still tinkering and cleaning …
I’m playing with a few color combinations for component pieces to use in future pendants. Some great colors, some … not so much. We are using stringers that we’re pulling from our vitrigraph kiln. I love that! And, I’m putting together a couple of tiles … just waiting on a few more jars of frit …
Another vit pull … and stuff

We had our fourth vit pull last week. I’m gaining some skills with ‘the stack’ and manipulating the temperatures … I’m hoping to try for some black/white/gray murrine next, maybe later today. We Did It!!!
We set our (4th) kiln up and had our first vitrigraph cane pull! Yahoo!!! [So, yeah … it’s THAT kiln, the vitrigraph kiln … Which will forever be called ‘She Who Causes Broken Wing’ … I ❤ her!] We still have a lot of fine tuning to do – but – I’m happy! Definitely having …

It turns out, you can’t play with your torch if your OXYGEN tank is empty … Nope! Doesn’t matter how much of that glass glob you place into your ‘hottest flame’ … This is what you get … And now, I am waiting on my (new) O2 tank arrival(!); Meanwhile murrini is on hold!!! But …
