A minute to relax …

We had our show.  It was great!  A lot of work, but what a wonderful end to our ‘season’!  Here is our 24 foot long ‘booth’ (the only photo I took, as we were still setting up … DOH!) In the meantime, my studio is trashed(!!!), but there is no down-time for the wicked weary …

Countdown …

Work in the studio continues, with the understanding that I will not come anywhere close to touching the projects I wanted to try/complete.  That’s ok … I’ll still make myself nutty for this up-coming show, but maybe not ‘top-shelf nutty’… (???)  Here’s what I have to show-off today: a quick-but-cute donut necklace; my 11×14 canvas …

Nothing to do but plow through …

Lots going on … I turned 29 (again! … A few more of these birthdays, and I’ll be able to skip straight to social security); we had puppies(!!!); got through a weekend (work) tour with a particularly tough case; and we continue to prepare for our next show …  Oh,  I slept for 17 hours …

Let me introduce you …

To the coolest tool ever!  And such a small investment.  After struggling for years, look at what I can do … Such small holes!  It’s called a Dremel Work Station, and mine cost about $40 (I love Amazon!).      So, I’ve been working on necklaces and cabs.  Lots of them!       Now to take …

The mad scientist … ???

Or the Mad Hatter … or just plain crazy.  Whatever …  The experiments continue!  I do love the day of the internet!  Much to the annoyance of DH (… and my accountant … and my bank account …).  Sooo much to learn!  I have [quite] a few different experimental pots brewing on the (bunsen) burners: …

It’s been a while …

So, I have a little of this and a little of that to report on: The twins will be heading off to camp shortly.  So, DH and I will be ‘empty nesters’.  Sort-of … but not.  Our four-legged family has grown.  Blondie had her babies (in under 19 hours!) and I took a quick shot …

L.A.M. –

Life After Maggie … is tougher than I was prepared for.  I didn’t realize I’d be grieving this much.  And it hits me at strange times throughout the day/night.  But, I haven’t cried today, so I feel like I’m advancing through the stages.  Maybe I’ll even sleep a bit tonight … [Oops – there I …

Goodnight Magnolia Rose …

Thank you! My Angel … My Brat … My Peanut Buttercup … My Fat Butt … We ended things our way – and I have to thank you, again, for that!

Beyond baby steps …

Minute by minute??  Yeah – that’s about right.  Here’s the scoop:  My grandma is rallying; She has a trach, peg tube, foley and a tube in her gallbladder; per the specialist doctors (rehab), she suffered a major neurologic event at some unknown time …  Is she down and out?  Nope – NOT My Grandma.  She’s …

Prayers and happy thoughts

My Grandma is in the hospital again – darn gallbladder!  She is NOT feeling good.  This afternoon when we were visiting her, I decided I didn’t like seeing her as a patient (looking tired and sick in the ICU bed) about as much as I don’t like being one (a patient, that is).  Please send …
